Are you a young person who is interested in history and social action? Join the South Australian Museum and the Centre of Democracy this NAIDOC Week to discover how posters have been used through our history to share messages and promote social change.
In this special workshop, you will hear from Museum researcher Jacinta Koolmatrie talk about 50 years of NAIDOC Week posters and visit the Centre of Democracy for an exclusive tour with curator Amy Morrison about political posters and badges from South Australia’s history.
You will then get the chance to put this inspiration into action by making your own powerful posters and badges on a topic of your choice using basic design principles and collage techniques.
Booking is essential.
