Museum artefacts seek curious minds to help uncover how old we really are...
The Dating Game, presented by the South Australian Museum, gives kids, families, and curious minds the opportunity to become museum curators for the day!
Using science and clues, you'll get to figure out how old different museum objects are, getting hands on with fossils, minerals, meteorites and items from ancient cultures as they come out from behind the glass.
Find helpful hints about different scientific dating methods, like how fossils are dated or how scientists figure out when a rock or artefact was made, to make your guess and see how close you are!
Open to all ages, join us at Science Alive!, 1 to 3 August at the Adelaide Showgrounds, or the Discovery Centre, 9 to 17 August on Level 1 of the Museum, for this FREE interactive activity.
