Sensory Friendly Evening at the Museum
Friday 27 March 2026

WHEN: Friday 27 March 2026, 5pm to 7pm

WHERE: South Australian Museum

COST: $5 adult | FREE for concession, child and companion card

In the lead up to World Autism Acceptance Month, the South Australian Museum is opening our doors after hours to offer a quieter Museum experience on Friday 27 March.

We'll be turning some sensory elements off and limiting visitor numbers to create a quieter environment.

Addionally, there will be relaxed activities on offer, including the option to paint a fossil with Palaeo-artist Riley Foley, make a zine with artist KJ Hepworth, talk one-on-one with a Museum Palaeontologist, and explore the Discovery Centre.

Everyone is welcome. This is a special event for anyone who would prefer a quieter Museum visit with their friends, families and supporters.
