Join the South Australian Museum and the CSER Maths in Schools Team on Tuesday 30 June for a full day workshop as we dive into the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander histories & cultures content in Mathematics and STEM.

The workshop includes a tour of the Australian Aboriginal Cultures Gallery, and opportunities to get hands on with a demonstration of the Deadly Science Fish Traps activity and to explore connections to digital tools for th eclassroom (including VR and AR).

Teachers will receive lesson plan examples and background information to support curriculum planning. Suitable for teachers across Reception to Year 10.

Beyond Object-based Learning

Join the History Trust of South Australia and the South Australian Museum for a day of professional learning.

Explore how to use museum spaces to prompt learning and visual thinking strategies, demonstrate object-based learning resources to use in the classroom, and look at digital approaches to object-based learning. Teachers will also have time to interact with loanable museum kits and learn how they can use them in their classrooms.

Tickets are $50 - or $40 for pre-service teachers (students) - and include an exclusive private curator-led tour of Egyptian gallery, as well as lunch.
