Join Inspiring SA as they celebrate the launch of National Science Week (15-23 August).
The launch will be held Friday 14 August at the South Australian Museum’s Science Centre.
It will feature interactive science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) activities, live stage shows, and behind-the-scenes tours of research and collections spaces rarely open to the public.

Stage shows for the evening will include:
6pm - The Dating Game by the SOuth Australian Museum
6.30pm - Space - The Discovery Centre
7pm - Science Comedy - Jacqueline Barsby
Tour information:
- Tours are free, but bookings are essential
- Recommended for ages 5 years and over
- General Tours provide a general behind-the-scenes experience, offering visitors a brief look across multiple collection and research areas within the Science Centre
- Palaeontology, Entomology & Minerals Tours are specialist tours that focus on a single collection and research area, giving visitors the opportunity to explore these topics in greater depth

Science Centre location:
The South Australian Museum’s Science Centre is located behind the South Australian Museum, on North Terrace in the City. From North Terrace, travel north on Kintore Avenue and turn right down Morgan Thomas Lane. Once on Morgan Thomas Lane you will walk past the Migration Museum and a boom gate, and the Science Centre is the large glass building on your left.
