Join us after-hours for our Music and Mead evening on Friday 6 June, from 5pm to 8pm at the South Australian Museum. Entry is free, so come and enjoy live performances from talented local musicians, harpist and singer Siobhan Owen and lutenist James Logan, while sampling authentic mead from South Australia's own Thistle Meadery who will be showcasing and selling their brews on-site.
The Museum’s Café and Gift Shop will be open along with the World Mammals Gallery on the Museum’s ground floor.
You’ll also have the opportunity to visit our current exhibition, Treasures of the Viking Age: The Galloway Hoard, which will be open throughout. Tickets will be available for purchase on the night or you can pre-book your ticket now to secure your spot.
The South Australian Museum will also open late for Wine, Weaving and Leatherworking on Friday 13 June and the Galloway Jewellery Jam featuring jewellers from the Jam Factory on Friday 20 June as part of the Winter Festival season and in the lead up to our VikingFest celebration on 28 and 29 June.
