Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year exhibition talks

Cost: Free add-on to your Nature Photographer ticket ($12 general admission, $10 concessions, students and seniors, FREE for kids under 12)

Step behind the lens of our Nature Photographer exhibition with a series of talks led by photographers, researchers and museum exhibition and collection experts.

Each talk will go for around 20 minutes with a Q&A included. These talks are FREE with your purchase of an exhibition ticket. Simply buy a ticket for the date of the scheduled talk and join in.

Our Impact and taking the perfect picture

Friday 5 December – 11am and 2pm

South Australian photographer Dave Sanderson will explore the Our Impact category and what goes into capturing the perfect shot.

 

Cephalopods

Sunday 7 December – 11am

South Australian Museum researcher Terry Bertozzi will provide insight into the stunning cephalopods showcased in the Portfolio category of the exhibition.

 

Behind the Scenes of Nature Photographer

Monday 8 December – 11am

Exhibitions & Galleries Manager and long-time producer of the Nature Photographer competition, Tim Gilchrist, will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the competition.

 

Entomology and Macro Photography

Tuesday 9 December – 11am

Collections Manager Shasta Henry takes a deep dive into the exhibition’s entomology photography, including how macro images bringthe smallest detail to life.
